Lot's Cave, also known as the Church of Saint Lot, is a historical sanctuary located near the Dead Sea in Jordan. This ancient site holds religious significance and is believed to be where Lot and his daughters sought refuge after the destruction of Sodom. The cave, surrounded by a Byzantine-era monastic complex, features intricate mosaics and artifacts dating back to the early ninth century CE. Preserved and partially restored by the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Sanctuary of Agios Lot offers visitors a glimpse into the intertwined histories of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism in the region.
