Cascata do Laboreiro is a waterfall located in Castro Laboreiro , municipality of Melgaço , District of Viana do Castelo , in Portugal .

This waterfall is formed by the waters of the Castro Laboreiro River , which crosses a steep drop in level in this mountainous area and falls from the top of high rocky cliffs into a sea of white foam.

It is located in a mountain landscape in the parish of Castro Laboreiro, on the high northern plateau . In its vicinity there are several megalithic remains and at some distance the border with Spain .

This waterfall is located south of the Old Bridge of Castro Laboreiro and can be seen from the top of the walls of Castro Laboreiro Castle .
