Whale Cove is a small cove located on the Pacific Coast of Oregon, about 1.4 miles south of Depoe Bay. It's a protected marine reserve and part of Rocky Creek State Scenic Viewpoint and Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Some folks think it might be where Francis Drake landed in 1579 during his circumnavigation journey, but there's still some debate about that. The cove is not easily accessible by boat and was once a hotspot for rumrunners smuggling Canadian whiskey during prohibition. Overall, it's a cool little spot with some interesting history!
