Multnomah Falls, located in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, is the state's tallest waterfall at 620 feet. It consists of two tiers, with an upper falls of 542 feet and a lower falls of 69 feet. The falls are fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain and attract over two million visitors annually. Accessible from Interstate 84, the area features a paved foot trail leading to an observation deck overlooking the falls. The Multnomah Falls Lodge, built in 1925, offers meals, a gift shop, and an interpretive center. Despite occasional maintenance concerns, such as a rockfall in 2014, the falls remain a popular natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest. Be sure to go early in the day or late in the evening as the parking lot fills up quickly.
