Velika korita Soče is a compact, dramatic limestone gorge where the Soča’s turquoise water rushes through narrow passages and shallow pools. It’s a short, well maintained trail with steps and viewing platforms, so plan 30 to 60 minutes, wear sturdy shoes and watch for slippery rocks; swimming is tempting in calm spots but the current can be strong, so only enter if you’re confident and never alone. Parking near the road is limited and facilities are minimal, so bring water and a light layer, and avoid visiting after heavy rain when paths may be closed and the river dangerous. Go early to beat crowds and pair the stop with nearby Kanal or other Soča highlights.
