Postojnska jama is a large, highly developed show cave where you board an electric train into vast caverns and then follow a guided walking route, so expect a mix of seated ride time and paved, sometimes damp pathways. Tours run frequently in multiple languages but can sell out in summer, so buy timed tickets ahead and plan about 1.5 to 2 hours for the visit; many travelers combine it with Predjama Castle using a combo ticket. The cave stays cool year round, around 8 to 10°C, so bring a light jacket and wear flat, non-slip shoes; photography is generally allowed but follow guide instructions and avoid flash. There is a modern visitor center with parking, cafes and shops, and parts of the route are wheelchair accessible, but check accessibility details when booking if you need full access.
