Slap Šum is a small, scenic waterfall tucked into a wooded gorge. You can reach the waterfall from the town Blejska Dobrava, you can park the car at the cemetery and from there walk on easy path to the wooden podium from which there is the viewpoint to the waterfall. Expect 10 to 20 minutes on muddy, root-strewn ground that gets very slippery after rain and icy in winter, so wear sturdy shoes and a waterproof layer. There are likely no facilities, signage is minimal and cell reception can be spotty, so bring water, an offline map and a camera. The falls look best in spring and autumn after rain, swimming is not advised because of slippery rocks, and be respectful of any private paths or posted signs. To avoid overexposing the flowing water in the sun, go there in cloudy weather. Bring a tripod to shoot long exposure photos of the waterfall, and a cloth to clean the lens of the waterdrops from the waterfall.
