What to expect:
We visited Hospital Cave with our kids and were honestly surprised how much they enjoyed it. It feels like stepping into a secret hideout inside the mountain. The cave is cool and dark (a welcome break from the heat), with wide paths, stairs and rooms you can actually walk through. Our kids loved exploring the different levels and imagining how people once lived and worked here during the war. The history is present but not overwhelming or graphic, so it felt appropriate for curious children. It’s a short, easy visit - interesting and adds a meaningful story to your Cat Ba adventure without being too heavy.
