Shelly Beach, just a short walk from Manly, is a hidden gem for nature lovers and beachgoers alike. This picturesque spot is part of the protected Cabbage Tree Bay marine reserve, perfect for snorkeling and diving adventures, and is without a doubt my favorite place to come snorkel in Sydney. The water does get chilly in the winter, so best to bring a wetsuit if you get cold like me!

If you don't want to get wet, that's okay. There are stunning bushwalks offering panoramic views of North Head and nearby beaches making Shelly Beach a great place to unwind and soak up the beauty of the Australian coastline. Don't forget to grab a bite at the beachside cafe or fire up the free BBQs for a relaxed picnic with friends and family.
