Denmarks inland sites are often a really good way to break up the dune flying. The terrain great fun and very different. This flying site located on Strandbjerggård, translating to Beach-Mountain-Farm, and it is exactly that, a 15m grassy ridge on a pebbly beach on a farm.

Ive had some incredible sessions here, buzzing open smooth grassy ridgelines following single lane cow tracks. The main ridge is open and grassy, fun to play around on the flat top sections near the table, and the bushes to the back. Easy to do some laps and swoop the water if you’re up for it.

The ridge to the North offers bigger steeper cliffs that hold lighter winds, and has some great bowls sections to pop in and out of. Careful flying in the long grass on top of the ridge, there are old fence posts made from 12mm steel bar that can catch you out.

A note about the land owners-

The owners of this farm allow paragliders to fly here, and use their private land for a carpark, which is pretty special I think. On the only condition that if there are cows or sheep on the ridge to stay away from them. They often keep animals in a small section of the ridge, and ask to keep clear of that area. Other times the whole ridge is open. 

Strandbjerggård is an organic small farm selling vegetables, micro-greens and eggs. They offer tours of their farm and are a lovely bunch, stop in, grab some eggs and say hi!

Semi secluded beach carpark at the Northern end of the ridge. Close to main road, but works well enough. Nice hangout.
