Burgh Island is a charming tidal island located off the coast of South Devon in England. It's known for its stunning Art Deco-style hotel, which attracts visitors from all over. The island has a rich history and is closely associated with the famous writer Agatha Christie, who found inspiration for her novels here.

The island can be accessed by parking at Bigbury Beach, and be sure to be aware of the tides here. There is the unique sea tractor which transports guests to the hotel and pub on the island when the tide is in, but you might have to wait a little while.

Paddle boarding around the island is one of my favourite things to do, either from Bigbury or Bantham beach. The waters at the back of the island are crystal clear so bring something to tie up your paddle board or kayak to one of the rocks if you fancy a swim!
