If you opt for hiking the Sarrail Ridge, be prepared for a challenging 11.4km out and back trail that involves sections with ropes and scrambling. Worth it? Absolutely! The views of Upper Kananaskis Lake from the top are hard to beat!
Starting at Upper Kananaskis Lake, the trail leads to Rawson Lake before ascending steeply up to the Sarrail Ridge. This is the tough part of the trail that is a serious workout, but once you make it to the top, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking panoramas.
You can often encounter mountain goats on this trail, but please keep a distance from them and never feed any wildlife.
