Lago delle Baste: A magical place for Sunset Lovers 🌅✨

Lago delle Baste is one of my absolute favorite spots – and not just because the little "lake" itself is so beautiful, but also because the journey to get there offers so much to discover. 🌄

Getting There 🚶‍♂️
The hike to the lake begins at the Passo Giau, where you can park your car. It’s a nice trail to follow, with one little steeper part, but dont rush! You’ll want to take your time, as there are so many beautiful corners along the way. The hike itself takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. ⏱️

A Movie-Worthy Scene 🎬
When we visited, the atmosphere was straight out of a film. The light was just magical, and as we approached the lake, we were greeted by an unexpected but gorgeous sight – dozens of donkeys grazing peacefully around the area. 🐴 It was such a unique and beautiful touch to the landscape. We also saw a few campers setting up near the lake.

More Than Just a Hike 🌿
While the lake itself is stunning, I recommend taking your time on the way there. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and there’s so much to discover along the trail. 📸 Plan for a bit more time than usual, as you’ll want to stop often and soak in the scenery.
