The Hooker Valley Track is one of the most iconic hikes in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, and it's totally worth your time. The track is about 3 hours return and pretty easy-going, which means you don’t need to be a hardcore hiker to enjoy it. I’d actually recommend this hike to anyone, whether you’re just visiting the park for a day or staying a few nights. I think it’s one of those walks you really shouldn’t miss.

You'll walk across swing bridges, through alpine valleys, and past glacier-fed rivers, all while soaking up incredible views of Aoraki. The scenery just keeps getting better as you go, and it all leads to a stunning glacier lake with floating icebergs at the base of the mountain.

It's a great way to experience the wild beauty of the Southern Alps without too much effort. Just bring some layers, snacks, and your camera. Trust me, you’ll want photos of this one.
