• Miradouro do Chão dos Terreiros – A peaceful ridge spot with vast views and barely anyone around.

• Punto Panorâmico Trompica – Maybe 2 reviews on Google, but the view? Worth every detour.

• Miradouro do Pico da Cruz – Hidden among the hills of the west, a perfect golden hour escape.

• Lombo do Clérigo Viewpoint – You’ve probably driven past it without realizing. Pull over next time.

• Miradouro da Enseada de Baixo – Dramatic coastline below you and complete silence around.

• Marco Geodésico do Pico da Boneca – A geodesic marker turned into a serene viewpoint.

🌿 Nature Trails & Hidden Hikes

• Vereda da Ladeira – A micro-trail you won’t find on tourist maps.

• Vereda das Voltas – Remote. Lush. Zero crowds.

• Caminho de Fajã Escura a Revinha – Climb from here to Pico Grande with 1000 vertical meter

• Miradouro da Penha d'Águia – One of the most striking views of Madeira’s iconic village. That one needs a 45 mins hike from Porto da Cruz though (Penha d Aguia Hike)

• Rocha de Baixo – A peaceful end-of-the-world place near São Jorge.

• Alice Peak – A mystical little summit with sweeping views.

• Two Hidden Waterfalls (Ponta do Pargo) – Hard to find, but unforgettable once you do.

• Cascata da Chamusca – Remote and magical, bring good shoes.

• Cascata do Córrego da Furna – Lush and wild, like Jurassic Park.

• Cascata do Córrego da Pedra – Smaller but full of jungle energy.

• Cascata da Ribeira da Pedra Branca – You’ll need to search for it. Totally worth it.

• Capela de Nossa Senhora da Vida – Tiny chapel with a massive view.

• Nossa Senhora da Pedra – A powerful, wind-whipped spiritual site by the coast.

• Lagar e Poço da Laje – Old wine press hidden in the woods. Pure local culture.
