Yes, Pico Ruivo is famous, but what if I told you there's a secret sunset spot nearby where you can watch the sky explode with color, completely alone?

This hidden spot is just about 1 km of hiking, but don’t underestimate it – with 100 meters of elevation, it’s steep and a bit wild. But once you're up there... wow. You'll have an unobstructed view over the mountains, with Pico do Arieiro in the distance, the ocean to the north, and the sun setting straight into the clouds.

This is one of my absolute favorite places on the island. I only share it with a few people – and if you’re reading this, you’re one of them.
