Mainau is a picturesque island garden located on Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is managed by the Lennart Bernadotte-Stiftung, an entity created by Prince Lennart Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions at Lake Constance. Mainau's climate allows for a range of exotic plants and trees including banana trees and palm trees. The island is known for its thriving parks and gardens which accommodate 500 species of deciduous and coniferous trees, as well as hundreds of rhododendron and azalea varieties. The island also features an Italian rose garden, created by Grand Duke Friedrich I, and the Arboretum with its native and exotic plant life. Come and explore Mainau's year round flower displays and lush gardens and discover why so many tourists make the pilgrimage to this destination each year!
