Laguna de Los Tres, also known as Fitz Roy hike, is a must-do trek in Patagonia, offering stunning views of Mount Fitz Roy and the lake. The trail starts in El Chalten and takes hikers through varied terrain, including forests, wetlands, and rocky paths. With a moderate difficulty level, the 25-kilometer round trip can be completed in 7-10 hours, making it accessible to most hikers. While crowds can be expected during peak season, the well-marked trail ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for independent trekkers.

We did not do this hike for sunrise as we wanted to avoid the crowds. We actually left for the hike at sunrise and got to the top at about 9am when everyone was heading down! Highly recommend!
