For one of the most breathtaking views of Crater Lake, you have to take the hike up to Garfield Peak. The trail starts right behind the historic Crater Lake Lodge and it's a steady climb, but every step is worth it for the panoramic vistas you'll get. This 3.5-mile round-trip hike is a local favorite, offering incredible photo opportunities of the brilliant blue water, Wizard Island, and the Phantom Ship far below. Just be sure to check conditions, as snow can linger into the summer months.
