Stocking Creek Falls is a small but charming waterfall in the forest near Ladysmith. A short and easy 2.4 km trail leads to the falls, making it a popular spot for a quick nature escape. A wooden staircase and viewing platform provide a great vantage point for the scene, mainly when water flows strongly. Do not climb over the staircase railing to access the falls. If you want to access the river, hike down the hill from the staircase, which has a short trail to the river. You must cross the river to the other side and walk along the riverbank. I would not recommend crossing or waiting in the creek in high water.

The best time to visit is from autumn through spring, when the falls are most impressive. By summer, the flow slows to just a trickle. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing walk or want to soak in the peaceful forest setting, Stocking Creek Falls is a great spot to explore.
