The General Grant Tree, located in Kings Canyon National Park, is a massive giant sequoia and the second largest tree of its kind in the world. It was named after Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President of the United States. Standing at over 267 feet tall with a circumference of 107.6 feet, this tree is a true natural wonder. Known as the "Nation's Christmas Tree," it has been designated as a "National Shrine" by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Visitors can marvel at its impressive size and rich history while exploring the General Grant Grove.
