Munt de Fornella is one of those little gems in the Dolomites that feels like it’s straight out of a mountain fairytale. It’s a cozy alpine hut nestled beneath the stunning Sass de Putia peak, and the views? Just wow. Think wide-open meadows, crisp air, and dramatic mountain backdrops. This lovely little mountain hut is the perfect blend of postcard scenery and that cosy, “I never want to leave” kind of vibe.
You can reach it on a lovely walk from Passo delle Erbe (Würzjoch) it’s not too hard, and the trail is super scenic. Once you get there, grab a seat on the terrace, order something hearty and homemade (their local Tyrolean dishes are delicious ), and just soak up the peaceful vibes. It’s the perfect spot to rest during a hike or just to escape and breathe in that fresh alpine magic.
