Armadale is a bustling small town in Scotland's Central Belt. The town has historically been a farming community and a major highway that runs through it, but its economy has transformed due to the discovery of large coal deposits and ironstone in the area. Furthermore, since its inception there have been many notable figures who hail from Armadale, as well as many historic events like the Highway Robbery of the 1830s and the riots between locals and Irish workers in 1858. Today, Armadale remains a vibrant town known for its pubs, restaurants, shops, parks and green spaces, nature reserves, and several other public places. It also features a beautiful memorial honouring Mrs Elizabeth Kerr and a bagpiper statue commemorating those lost in wars. With so much to offer, Armadale is an ideal destination for both residents and visitors alike.
