The Kilkee Cliffs are located on the Loop Head Peninsula in County Clare, along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Less known than the Cliffs of Moher but equally impressive, they stretch along the coastline just west of the seaside town of Kilkee, offering dramatic sea views without the large crowds.

The cliffs rise steeply above the Atlantic, formed from layers of sandstone and shale that have been shaped by waves and wind over millions of years. The landscape features sea stacks, blowholes, and caves, including the well-known Pollock Holes — natural rock pools that fill with seawater at low tide and are popular for swimming.

Walking along the Kilkee Cliff Walk, visitors can follow a scenic loop trail that passes highlights such as Moveen Hill, Fisherman’s Bay, and Intrinisic Bay, with views out to the Atlantic Ocean, Loop Head Lighthouse, and even the Cliffs of Moher on a clear day.
