Alþingishúsið, also known as The Parliament House, is a historic building in Reykjavík, Iceland, where the Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, meets. Designed by Ferdinand Meldahl and built in the late 19th century, it features reliefs of mythical creatures on its façade. While it once housed various institutions, today it mainly serves as the venue for parliamentary debates and some administrative offices. Plans are in place to construct a new building nearby to accommodate additional functions.
