One of the most visited and iconic waterfalls in all of NC. This trail is always worth the trip but I do recommend you go on a weekday if possible to enjoy the falls with less crowds.

The trail is dog friendly and 2.6 miles round trip. You can shorten it a little if you do an out and back instead of the full loop. The parking lot does fill up rather quickly so if you go on a weekend make sure to show up early!
