One of the best still not overcrowded views of Mt Fuji is from Oike Beach at Lake Yamanaka.

You probably won't be able to find Oike Beach on Google Maps or GPS, so here are the coordinates for the nearest parking lot you can copy into Google: 35°25'44.7"N 138°51'11.0"E

From there it is a 5 minute walk to the beach spot where swans usually huddle around here and you have a good chance of shooting Fuji with swans - one of my favorite views for sure! 🗻🦢
