This has to be one of the most exciting winter waterfall hikes in Victoria ... I mean there's 3 waterfalls along the same trail! Waterfalls of Gar is a 4.2km return trail that passes 3 seasonal waterfalls in the northern section of Grampians National Park. The trail is quite manageable with only a few rocky stairs and sections after you pass the 1st waterfall.
The views are stunning and if visiting at the right time you should be able to hear running water along the entirety of the trail and even see a few waterfalls while walking the trail in the distance, it honestly felt like. a waterfall paradise!
How to get there:
The Waterfalls of Gar walk starts from the Troopers Creek Campground (I've linked this on the map). You can park your car in the day visitor area and the trailhead is right behind the toilet block here.
Elise's Tips:
These waterfalls are very seasonal and are best viewed in Winter or after periods of heavy rain (we visited in July)!
