Bryggen, located in the city of Bergen, is an immensely historic waterfront that now serves as Norway's UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been a bustling port since the Viking Age and was once part of the Hanseatic League's trading empire from the 14th to the mid-16th century. After a series of devastating fires, the area was rebuilt but still preserves its former glory - characterized by rows of iconic tall and slim wooden houses towering along the bustling quay. Today, it is teeming with life coming from artisans, potters, jewellers, leather and textile crafters and more, making it the perfect destination for visitors who want to appreciate eclectic traditional crafts and culture!
