Memento Park is a unique open-air museum located in Budapest, Hungary that pays tribute to the statues and monuments from the country's Communist era (1949-1989). It is divided into two sections - Statue Park and Witness Square - and features 42 grand statues of important Communist figures, such as Lenin, Marx, and Engels, as well as several Hungarian Communist leaders. In addition to the large statues, the park also contains historical artifacts such as a replica of Stalin's Boots, which became a symbol of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution after it was pulled down from its pedestal. There is also an exhibition hall displaying the history behind the Communist period, as well as a small movie theater showing Gábor Zsigmond Papp's documentary 'The Life of an Agent'. Visitors can enjoy discovering an intriguing glimpse of past decades at Memento Park.
