• DISTANCE: ~4 miles RT if hiking // given it’s an OHV trail, there’s lots of signage // the views of the Swell and Henry Mtns were my favorite part of the hike

• VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS: 2wd vehicles if no recent rain. The road CAN be rough and you must travel 8 miles on dirt/sandy roads. My Forester makes it without issue, and I park just beneath Tombstone rock.

🚨 Did you know there’s an UNDERGROUND ARCH in Moab? 🤯

Located off a very popular OHV trail, Dellenbaugh Tunnel is an elongated arch about 100 ft long just off Spring Canyon. This is near Canyonlands’ Island in the Sky and Dead Horse Point State Park northwest of Moab.


👶🏼 If you’re looking for a cool tunnel hike that is kid friendly, I would do Tusher Tunnel instead. There is an abundance of rodent 💩 within Dellenbaugh. We’re talking excessive amounts to the point I was concerned about Hantavirus (kidding but it crossed my mind lol) You can easily avoid when walking underneath, but if the kid can’t be trusted not to touch things – this is not the hike for them.

💡 Would I prioritize this hike on my first or second visit? Absolutely NOT. If you’re here on an OHV trip or make frequent trips, it’s worth seeing at least once. I can confidently say I don’t have to go back anytime soon, but glad I can say I’ve done it.
