The Chamanna da Grialetsch CAS, also known as the Grialetsch Hut SAC, is a cozy mountain hut located at 2,541 meters above sea level in the Albula Alps. With no mobile phone reception, it's the perfect place to disconnect and unwind. The hut offers dormitory-style accommodation and a winter room for those seeking winter skittering adventures. Open from mid-June to mid-October and mid-February to mid-April, the Grialetsch Hut provides a rustic and charming stay for hikers and nature lovers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Tip: BRING CASH they don't accept card payments.

How to get there:

Take the bus ( number 312) from Davos Dorf to Davos Dischma, Dürrboden. You can find a small restaurant and parking lots and toilets at the start of the hike. From here follow the sign towards the hut. Very easy to navigate and the hike is super beginner friendly.

Round trip takes 9.5 km ( up to the hut and back) with 578m elevation gain. The entire trail took me 3 hours to complete. Along the way you will see 3 beautiful lakes, Furggasee ( 2509m) and two smaller ones with no name around the hut.

It is a very beautiful trail, highly recommend it.

TIP: if you go with car be careful the road to the back of the valley is super narrow ( only one lane) and if the bus comes it can be difficult to navigate. Not impossible but difficult.
