Overview
Rikuro’s is a famous Osaka-based cheesecake shop known for its light, fluffy texture and signature jiggly look. The Namba branch is one of the most popular spots, drawing long lines daily. I love the cheesecake here, it’s not too sweet, super soft, and fresh out of the oven with raisins at the bottom for a nice touch. Since it’s only available in limited locations like Osaka and Tokyo, I always make time to stop by when I’m in town.
What to Expect
You’ll see the cakes being baked behind the counter and hear the bell ring when a new batch is ready. They sell out quickly, especially on weekends and holidays. The cheesecakes are best eaten fresh and warm, but you can also buy them boxed to take home. There are also a few pastries and souvenirs available.
Pro tip: Go early or avoid peak hours if you want to skip the long lines and make sure they’re not sold out.
Access
Located just a short walk from Namba Station (Exit 5), Rikuro’s is easy to find within the bustling Namba shopping and food district. You’ll likely spot the line before the sign.
