Known for its well-preserved historic monuments and old houses, Khiva is divided into two parts: Dichan Kala and Itchan Kala. The inner town, surrounded by brick walls, boasts over 50 historic landmarks, including the Djuma Mosque and the Sherghazi Khan madrassah.
