Katima Mulilo is a fast-growing town in the Zambezi Region of Namibia. It was declared a town in October 1999 and has seen significant investments since then. It is an important international hub, home to an Export Processing Zone, the largest open market in Naambia and the Caprivi Link Interconnector. On the banks of the Zambezi, Katima Mulilo is also renowned for its lush riverside vegetation with monkeys and tropical birds lurking around. It is terminal to the Trans–Caprivi highway and there's an international airport in close proximity. From early days, it was a garrison point, equipped with a South African Defence Force military base, bomb shelters and more. The town offers plenty of fun and adventure - with its bustling markets, military past, historical Baobab tree, rapids, canals – and lots more!
