Wildseepromenade: The Squirrel Path
If you want a break from the dramatic peaks and just want a "feel-good" moment, this is the place. The Wildseepromenade is a flat, easy trail that loops around the Wildsee lake, and it’s famous for its very friendly locals: the wild squirrels.
Javi’s Insider Tips:
• The Squirrel Experience: This is the highlight of the walk. The squirrels here are incredibly brave and used to people. If you stand still, they might come right up to you.
• Pro Tip: Bring some unsalted walnuts or hazelnuts! It’s the best way to get them to stay long enough for a photo or a close-up video.
• The Scenery: The walk is very peaceful, with the lake on one side and the forest on the other. It’s perfect for those "relaxing nature" clips that perform well on TikTok.
• Bird Watching: Besides the squirrels, you'll see plenty of ducks and swans on the lake, making the whole vibe very tranquil.
Logistics & Access:
• Location: The promenade starts just a few minutes away from the Seefeld village center and the Seekirche.
• Difficulty: Completely flat and accessible for everyone. You can walk the full loop or just do a section of it.
• Innsbruck Card: As part of your Seefeld day trip, the transport to get here (the train) is 100% free.
