One day out of curiosity, I asked on my Instagram to Florentine people specifically what their favorite authentic Tuscan restaurant in the city center of Florence was. L’Brindellone came in at flying speed, surpassing every other restaurant name given to me (many of which you can still find in this guide), so naturally, of course, I had to make my way over to the restaurant to see what all the hype was about – and I totally get it. Unapologetically informal and rustic, it was easily one of the most traditional Trattoria dining experiences that I’ve had. The décor was homey, the staff were joyous, and the food was as authentic as it comes - it all tasted as if I was eating a recipe passed down from generation to generation. Matched with fair prices all around, I can see why L’Brindellone is a top spot for Florentines in the city.
Kacie's Recommendation: The truffle pasta is unreal, and I’m a fan of truffle so that’s saying something. It’s worth mentioning though that some Florentines sitting next to me ordered the Florentine Steak and later informed me it is their favorite place to enjoy it.
