📍 Location: Moskenesøy Island, southern tip of the Lofoten
🚗 Parking: Free parking spots right after you enter the village through the tunnel from E10. Best to come early, as parking fills up quickly.

Å is a charming fishing village located at the very end of the Lofoten Archipelago. Steeped in history dating back to the 19th century, Å offers a unique glimpse into Norway’s rich fishing heritage. The village is famous for its well-preserved traditional wooden boats, fish oil factory, and quaint fishermen’s cabins called “rorbuer.”

The most beautiful part of Å is the area with historic fisher huts and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum. Here you’ll also find many nesting seagulls adding to the authentic atmosphere.

Don’t miss visiting the small bakery “Bakeriet på Å,” where you can try their delicious cinnamon buns — a perfect treat during your stroll through this picturesque village at the tip of Moskenesøy.
