Seyðisfjarðarkirkja is one of the most photographed spots in East Iceland, mainly because of the rainbow-painted road that leads straight up to the small blue church. The colors paired with the surrounding mountains make it an easy and fun photo stop while exploring Seyðisfjörður.

For the best photos, stand at the bottom of the rainbow road and shoot upward with the church centered in the frame. Early morning or later in the evening is best if you want fewer people, but even during the day it’s a quick stop that doesn’t take much time.
