đč How to Order a Spritz Like a Local
đ„ Skip the tourist version â hereâs how real Venetians enjoy their aperitivo.

Venice, Italy
In Venice, the Spritz isnât just a drink â itâs a ritual. But while most tourists order an Aperol Spritz without thinking, locals have their own preferences.
Hereâs how to order like a true Venetian:
đŽ Spritz Campari â Bolder and more bitter than Aperol. A classic choice if you like a sharper kick.
đŽ Spritz Select â The original Venetian choice. More herbal and bitter than Aperol, with a deeper red colour. Ask for âuno Spritz Select, per favoreâ and youâll win instant respect.
đż Spritz Cynar â Made with an artichoke-based amaro, itâs a bartenderâs favorite â earthy, herbal, and very Venetian.
𧥠Aperol Spritz â Still popular, especially with younger drinkers or those who prefer it sweeter. But definitely not the only option.
âȘ Spritz Bianco â A super local variation with white wine and soda â refreshing and simple.
đ Where to Go? Try Al Squero, Cantine del Vino giĂ Schiavi, or Bacareto da Lele â no-nonsense places with character, cicchetti, and crowds of locals.
đ Bonus: Spritz is always a pre-dinner drink. Never order one with a meal if you want to blend in!
