Recreio Beach is very out of the way of most tourists, so it is known as a local spot. In fact, it is out of the way even for us who live in Rio, so it is mostly the people who live around the area that go to the beach in Recreio.

It is a nice and pleasant beach, with a lot of space in the sand. One of the coolest things about Recreio Beach is Pedra do Pontal, which is a large rock and viewpoint that marks the end of the beach.
