Visiting Ongi Monastery after staying the night at the Secret of Ongi Ger Camp is a must. Do not skip doing this!

This former monastery used to be one of the biggest in Mongolia, but was demolished during the Soviet purges of the 1930s. Not much of the monastery remains today, although there are plans to rebuild in the coming years.

Take your time visiting here, and stop into the only temple standing to visit the monk who has devoted his life to living and practicing here.
