Botanical garden adjacent to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, home to over 300 plant species mentioned in the Manyoshu, Japan’s oldest poetry anthology. Famous in spring for its 20+ varieties of wisteria, the garden offers a calm stroll among hedges, ponds, and historically significant flora. Entry is separate from the shrine.
