Yukitouro (Snow Candle Way) is a snow candle event that’s held at the Jozankei Shrine. The event began in 2011, which each hotel and ryokan providing a snow candle that’s decorated with the spirit of hospitality, under the theme of “gather and enjoy the snow candles in one place.” The grounds decorated with 1,000 snow candles made by the people of the onsen town are a fantastic winter scene that has many repeat visitors. If you’ve taken an awesome picture that commemorates your sightseeing experience in Sapporo, be sure to submit it to the photo and video contest, where you can win pair accommodation tickets. A free shuttle bus runs during the event period between the Jozankei Onsen town and the shrine.
