The Castro of Monte Mozinho is a Neolithic fortified settlement, sometimes referred to as the Dead City, situated in the civil parish of Oldrões, in the municipality of Penafiel in the Tâmega Subregion of the Portuguese district of Porto.

The Castro of Monte Mozinho, sometimes referred to as the Dead City, is a fascinating archaeological site located in northwestern Portugal. Dating back to at least the 1st century BCE, this Neolithic fortified settlement is made up of four walls that enclose a sprawling area of 20 hectares which served as home to an ancient civilization. Numerous artifacts have been found here, including ceramic fragments, glass, coins, metal tools and weapons, jewellery, granite statuary, and altars dedicated to Jupiter. Remarkably, the ruins include a possible temple and mausoleum dating back to the Roman era. Exploring this intriguing site provides a unique glimpse into the distant past, with plenty of surprises waiting to be discovered!
