Inskip Point is where you'll bark the ferry to the adventure of a lifetime! The earliest ferry departs at 6 am and the last leaves at 4.30 pm.

You're going on an off-grid adventure, so you should be well-prepped. Here are a few Tips:

Make sure to book your tickets online beforehand, together with the vehicle permit and National park fee for the campgrounds (you need to book individual campgrounds, so have your route planned when booking). Don't count on phone reception on K'Gari.

Mind the Tide, although there is a high tide bypass when you get on Fraser, Cars get flooded there all the time. You shouldn't drive 2 hours before and after high tide. Sometimes even 3 hours when the tide is very high. And yes, cars get flooded all the time, it's a thing... 🌊 🚐

Start with a full fuel tank and some Jerry cans if you have any. Although there are a couple of fuel stations on K'Gari, they are expensive.

Gear up before you go on K'Gari, so you can help yourself if you are stuck. Spare tyre, car jack, recovery tracks, deflator valves (18 psi on beach) and a shovel are always good to have. Even if you get stuck, don't worry. Everyone's super friendly and will help you out!

Pack enough food and water for the entire trip, 5L per person per day should do. You can fill up water or buy some food at the fuel stations, but don't expect much. And bring a floaty for Eli Creek.

But most importantly - have bucket loads of fun!
