Some of the best views of Golden and the surrounding valley are found from this viewpoint on Mount 7. The Recreation Site is primarily a launch site for paragliders. It's also a popular mountain bike trailhead.

While the panoramas are truly incredible, I would only attempt driving up to this viewpoint with a vehicle that has good clearance. A 4X4 would be preferable. This is particularly true in wet weather. The road is unpaved and rough in places.
