This pub in Oxford was regularly visited by JRR Tolkein and CS Lewis

The Eagle and Child Pub, a historic venue in Oxford, was a favorite hangout spot for renowned authors JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. Known as The Inklings, these literary giants would meet up with other brainy pals to chat about their latest works over a pint or two. The pub, which closed in 2020, has now been bought by the Ellison Institute of Technology, promising to refurbish and reopen this iconic spot for future brilliant minds to gather and share ideas. Cheers to preserving a piece of literary history!
