Freedom camping in New Zealand can be a wonderful experience that allows visitors to get closer to nature. With many self-contained campsites and public toilets available throughout the country, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The Tongaporutu Domain is a great little freedom camping site if you have a self contained vehicle and want to catch the sunset or sunrise at the Three Sisters. There are public toilets available. No showers or dump station.
