Also many hotels and restaurants are already closed for the season by early October. So best to reserve a few weeks in advance to make sure you get a spot.

Sunrise on Lake Staz

Tip: Even if you visited Lake Staz on another day, I highly recommend getting up for sunrise for some of the most beautiful scenes you can get this area.

After sunrise, you have plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast before heading out for another hike.
